Performance Cruising has been building Gemini Catamarans for many years.  They have evolved the boat with newer materials and newer designs as the technology matured.  While the evolution has resulted in a newer looking boat, under the covers, she is still designed for owner maintenance using most low technology materials.

The Shearwater III was built in 1993 and not well maintained by previous owners.  I looked her as an opportunity boat, intending to repair, upgrade or replace nearly every part and every system over the years, while keeping her in sailing condition so she could be enjoyed as she improved.

Please understand, she is under continuous evolution, things change every week and sometimes the colors and fit changes as well.  In May, 2010, the Bimini suddenly changed from old, worn-out red to Pacific Blue to match the jib.  Don't be mislead, it is all the same boat.
