June 14 – Airborne and Special Operations Museum

Fayetteville isn’t the first place that comes to mind when looking for a museum to visit, but the extraordinary Airborne and Special Operations Museum is located here, within striking distance of Washington and the Smithsonian family of exciting museums for every taste. Warfare is not our favorite area to view; however, this museum did such a fine job of treating a hard subject that we recommend it to everyone traveling near DC with two enjoyable hours to spend. Like the Smithsonian, it is free. There are no reservations or covid tickets required.
